Mixtape Monday: Glorious Gospel

So my 2nd Mixtape, The Glorious Gospel According to Her is going to highlight the various aspects of the gospel, redemption, grace, salvation, love and mercy. It is my prayer that they will all lead the listener in a unique experience heavenward.
In the meanwhile, I have noticed several attacks of the enemy. I have seen them for what they are and have been trying to stay focused  on what my goals are... to seek ye first the kingdom of God and all His righteousness. I'll let Him handle the rest.
The Mixtape will feature the vocal and production talents of various female artists such as BBO (Beats by Octavia) , Y-Peezy,  Londie Jae,  Ani Love and Yours Truly.
The Inspiration was borne of a desire to reach out in ministry in a way unique to the female experience and perspective. Don't get it twisted, men can be blessed by the ministry as well. Stay tuned for the release and keep well.

A Moment of Clarity

So, there have been some recent happenings in my life concerning certain friends and I was actually quite confused as to their actions. I prayed about it, and got some answers. Some people just aren't worth being around. The Bible says a double minded man is unstable in all his ways. These people harbor spirits that are unholy. When you interact with these people, they tend to be two faced, presenting an appearance of love and friendship, while they turn a knife in your back, for no other reason than the fact that they can.
The Bible also says, that by your fruits you shall know them. Words mean nothing if actions prove you to  be in opposition to what you're conjecturing.

The Bible also says that we must not reason with a fool lest we ourselves become foolish. Some people aren't worth the argument, debate or discussion and must be cut off as soon as is humanly possible. The Bible states that if your right hand offends thee, cut it off. If you have tried time after time to be friendly with a genuine spirit, only to be met with opposition , hatred and spite, then you must spare your soul the trial and mental anguish by removing that source from your life, whether it be relative, or friend. The Bible syas you can be angry and sin not, so the key here is to yes, have an emotion towards the situation, because you're human. You will be hurt.cry, scream, pray

Finally, these same people who are quick to bring up your past and remind you of the person you used to be. They see how you comport yourself in the present day and believe it impossible for you to be so holy, high and mighty. The Bible says that the devil is an accuser. He is the accuser of the saints. What God has forgiven you, man may try to dig up, but it is irrelevant, because man's record is impoverished in the cleansing blood of God.

Remember this as you navigate the turbulent waters of your life. The Bible is your compass. God is your guide. This is certainly easier said than done, but continue to wrap His words up in your existence, and you will eventually see your trials as triumphs.

Go in, Go Deep Go Hard

Word Out Wednesday

The athlete standing atop the platform looks down toward his watery goal. He mentally rehearses one last time his feat. Plotting out exactly where his aim is, he understands what's riding on his next move... everything. His career is his body and his ability to marry his mind and machine to execute with the most efficicient of precision, his performance. Exactly what will be seen by a captive audience and the panel of judges will be evidenciary proof of the amount of time, effort and sheer determination that has been poured into his craft. He's ready. He leaps. One thought pumped through his blood from his focused mind..."I'm going to go in. I'm going to give it all I've got." He went in, with his whole heart vested, and he pushed, He went ham.

As a young girl I was mesmerized by the graceful iceskaters that slid across the LCD as I. rapt imagine myself to one day be a performer. I wanted nothing more than this although I never had a lesson, lived nowhere close to a skating rink and knew my folks didn't have the wherewithal to provide for such an endaevor. But I could still dream. Then one day the news hit, Michelle Kwan was attacked by Tanya Harding. I couldn't believe it! I Such hate...such mind numbing blinding hate...such audacity! Publicly? I couldn't fathom it, but yet, there it was ...all across the media.

In life there will be performers who are deeply invested in their pssion. And you'll have those who are so consumed by env, hate and jealousy that nothing else but evil consumes them. The mindset to have here is to know that while these people exist, focus on Christ and do you. Go in, give it all. Be aggressive toward your mark. Go in, go deep and go hard.

Focus Up

Don't focus so much on your enemy and on what's going wrong in your life that you neglect the things that are going well for you.
Often, this temptation rears its ugly head. The sin lies not in the temptation, but if we yield to the temptation, then it becomes sin. Some Christians feel guilty for being tempted. This should not be. Let the prayer instead be, help me to overcome and remove the desire to sin from out of my heart. Then the things of this world become strangely dim in the light of God's glory. I've been tempted to look at all my sorrows that were caused as a result of dashed plans, lost loved ones, misplaced affections, misguided reasoning and unaccomplished goals. However, this obsessed me to the point where when I'd complain, close ones would tell me how blessed I was. I absolutely could not see it. I was blinded by regret. I spent so much time looking at at what I thought I had lost, and didn't spend enough looking at what I have gained. Some  of  what God has blessed me with are so marvelous that I fear that it will cause jealousy as it has already have, so certain things I no longer discuss, because the blessing is perceived as a brag. What I can say is that, God can and will prepare you for something if you're willing to focus up and not allow the devil to rob you of the gifts that God has for you.
So don't worry about the promotion you didn't rightfully receive, or how long it has taken you to get into school. Stop looking at the money your friends illegally make. Don't be jealous of them. Take rest in knowing that your time will come where God will move mountains for you. Seek Him first, and embrace what you DO have. Try just five things that are absolute blessings from God that you know you had absolutely nothing to do with getting for yourself. Make a list, save it on your phone and look at it from time to time. Add to it as new blessings arrive. You'll soon realize that your trials were designed to distract you.
Focus Up.

Thumpin' Thursdays- Be Bold and Brag About It

This song is an oldie but also a goodie. Boast has recently been accepted into circulation by the well known, Wutz Hood Radio, Gospel Network. It has been an honor to be accepted into circulation and I'm excited about the possibilities.

The concept of the song emerged froma desire to convey that Christians have alot to be thankful for. Whil ethe world can brag about their riches and wealth and revel in their accomplishments, sinfully acquired,  BOAST reminds us of the true ballers like Job, Moses, Enoch, David, Solomon and many more who were blessed by God in riches, wealth, health, wisdom and eternal life. Christians, open your mouth and BOAST in the Lord!

Check out Wutz Hood!

The next track I'll be working on is Neva U.G.L.Y. The draft version I have is not up to my personal standard for submission. It will be revised and re-recorded for quality. I like the concept, and the collaborative effort by Da-Ro was unmistakably excellent.  I will also be posting it as next week's Song of the Week.

Word Out Wednesday: Be Driven

Word Out Wednesday

Today marks a new beginning for those who claim the name of Jesus.
It's easy to make plans, and even easuer for those plans to fail. Try instead to let go of your own reasoning
and place them in the hands of a God who is able to change your situation for the better. Be unafraid of the attacks of the  enemy, and assure yourself that you are in the right due to the atacks of the enemy.
The wicked prosper not by the Lord, but because the devil also takes care of his own.
Be sure that your self assuredness isn't misplaced, and constantly be in a state of  daily devotion with God.
Ask yourself if your plans are impulses or if they are in keeping with His holy will.
Last but not least, everyone is different. Do not compare yourself to others.
The success of othes may not be due to the hand of God. Your blessig may take longer, but it is YOUR blessing. Embrace it and cherish it. Yeild your will to God's and you will see a manifestation of power not your own. I have a relative who said she likes to drive, but sometimes it feels good to be driven because it's less stressful dealing with all the antics of the road. Today, allow yourself to be driven by the Master.

Guts 'n' Glory

It takes a lot of ambition to be different. Courage in the face of adversity and fear is essential for molding the character in preparation for the heaven to come.

As a segue, some believe that we're living in hell now. This is a grievance understatement and trivializing of the event spoken of directly from the Word of God. Perilous times are on us now and even more grievous times are ahead. We live in a world where mediocrity is accepted, evil is legislated and privacy is anything but. If history can teach us 1 thing it is this... it always repeats itself.

With due diligence, be in the world but not of it and pray earnestly for the courage to endure the tribulation. Get rid of the sin in your life. Erase those bad habits. Forgive them. Get over it. Reconcile with them. Pray for peace amidst hostility. In your heart let no evil hold. Pluck it out from the root in the name of Jesus and dare to be like Daniel who was prepared to be eaten by lions before he hid his worship of God. Dare to be like Shadrach Meshach and Abendigo who were prepared to face fire rather then face God's fire. Dare to be like a Esther who prayerfully entreated the King in spite of the threat of death.

Do you see a trend? History always repeats itself because human nature under demonic influences remains the same. Get the guts now don't worry about being popular or accepted you got a crown waiting for you and glory.

911 - Emergency Call

Turn't up Tuesday

Today marks a moment in history that will never be forgotten, a day when many a loved one lost their lives due to a catastrophic event. While those who have lost loved one will grieve continually, we must not forget the miracle of life and how fragile it is. Living each day as if it were out last, we must right wrongs, as far as possible...these souls did not rise that morning believing that it would be their last day on earth any more than did Treyvon.  I watched in disgust as the best friend of the world's most hated man dry-eyed defended the killer of this teenager on Dr. Phil.
We can't forget the 911 surfer, and the others who called in sick, or were held up during the morning commute, these small miracles may have been overshadowed or forgotten amidst the evil shadow of death and loss, but are miracles nonetheless and are small reminders that we must get our houses in order...we know not when our probation will close, for he will not always strive with man.

Masturbation Nation

Najestique's Turn't Up Tuesday presents:
THE SECRET SIN: A Masturbation Nation

The dangerous impacts that masturbation has on the moral, mental spiritual and physical well being of an individual.

“There is a science of Christianity to be mastered—a science as much deeper, broader, higher, than any human science as the heavens are higher than the earth. The mind is to be disciplined, educated, trained; for men are to do service for God in ways that are not in harmony with inborn inclination. Often the training and education of a lifetime must be discarded, that one may become a learner in the school of Christ. The heart must be educated to become steadfast in God. Old and young are to form habits of thought that will enable them to resist temptation. They must learn to look upward. The principles of the Word of God—principles that are as high as heaven and that compass eternity—are to be understood in their bearing on the daily life. Every act, every word, every thought, is to be in accord with these principles.”—CT, p. 20

This has become a masturbation nation. Social Media and today’s contemporary society for the most part proport masturbation as normal and even healthy. The devil has even successfully used science to deceive most of us, even as God fearing people that it is alright to masturbate as a single, because it’s not with anyone else, it’s a release and as married people, that masturbation is appropriate when sex is not readily available. (The partner is away on a trip or is too tired or sick, etc. )

“Could all see the amount of suffering that they bring upon themselves by their own sinful indulgence, they would be alarmed; and some, at least, would shun the course of sin that brings such dreaded wages. So miserable an existence is entailed upon a large class that death would be preferable to life; and many do die prematurely, their lives sacrificed in the inglorious work of excessive indulgence of the animal passions. Yet because they are married, they think they commit no sin.  {TSB 111.1}”

Again, there is no guilt, because the sex is not with anyone else….or so they think. Sex with ANYONE other than your spouse in a monogamous union is lasciviousness. That includes yourself.

Ellen White refers to it as self abuse. Why so harsh a term? Because sex with yourself isn’t even sex in the Maker’s eyes. It’s abuse of something He intended for one purpose but is being used for another. Hence there is a misuse, an abuse of  the Body temple, wherein the Spirit dwells. ABUSE.

The devil has also caused a number of believers to believe masturbation is Okay, just as long as someone else does it. Many Adventist single men are proud to state that they don’t “beat their meat.”
But that’s only because their girlfriends are the ones doing it for them.
They reason, “Why would I do that to myself, when I got a girl that can do it for me?”
This is when the sin now includes a second party, and their sin now becomes her sin and is now upon the hands of both involved. Girlfriends beware.

Females aren’t all that innocent either. They too indulge in toys, and movies, and masturbatory practices that incite evil in the dwelling place of the Lord, the throne of the body, the mind.  Some believers even consider themselves virgins simply because they haven’t engaged in sexual intercourse, but they have defiled every other part of the body temple with someone else and for the purposes of this article, themselves.
The lower passions are to be strictly guarded. The perceptive faculties are abused, terribly abused, when the passions are allowed to run riot. When the passions are indulged, the blood, instead of circulating to all parts of the body, thereby relieving the heart and clearing the mind, is called in undue amount to the internal organs. Disease comes as the result. The mind cannot be healthy until the evil is seen and remedied.--Ms 24, 1900.  {TSB 116.3}

Any true believer  who wants to serve God with all their heart, soul and mind will realize the dangerous implications that masturbation has and would refrain from this behavior.

Here are a few links to sources that will assist in the understanding of why masturbation at any time is an unhealthy sin.
Same info above also found here: Scroll down to Physical and spiritual dangers of masturbation or "self-abuse"

In addition it is imperative to remember that the devil is always saying and enforcing the complete opposite to what God has ordained and established.

1. God created the Sabbath. The enemy created Sunday worship as an alternative to worshiping the true God. Sunday Christians then are worshipping on a false day, and hence a false worship occurs.

2. God created a man and a woman and told them to be fruitful and multiply. He made them with the corresponding reproductive and sexual organs that make sense with regards to their function. The devil says It’s okay for two people of the same sex to “love” one another. Just as long as they aren’t hurting anyone, and it’s consentual. Furthermore, the enemy make many professed Christians believe that unmarried couples can engage in privileges that Christ has reserved soley for the marriage union, just as long as they know that they love each other and they aren't cheating on each other.  FYI: They may not be cheating on each other, but thay are cheating on God.

3. God said the marriage bed is undefiled. YET the devil has caused MANY believers to stumble on this point by taking the text out of context. They proport that it means that “Once I’m married anything goes, because I’m married.” This gives license for the devil to have his way in the marriage. The husbands are used as instruments by Satan to corrupt what God intended as pure and holy. He is a negative influence on the wife who submits to his evil passions. (this is not to say that wives couldn’t have the same influence either.
The Expenditure of Vital Energy. "Many parents do not obtain the knowledge that they should in the married life. They are not guarded lest Satan take advantage of them and control their minds and their lives. They do not see that God requires them to control their married lives from all excesses. But very few feel it to be a religious duty to govern their passions. They have united themselves in marriage to the object of their choice, and therefore reason that marriage sanctifies the indulgence of the baser passions. Even men and women professing godliness give loose rein to their lustful passions, and have no thought that God holds them accountable for the expenditure of vital energy, which weakens their hold on life and enervates the entire system."  {TSB 110.3}

Excessive Sexual Indulgence. "The marriage covenant covers sins of the darkest hue. Men and women professing godliness debase their own bodies through the indulgence of the corrupt passions, and thus lower themselves beneath the brute creation. They abuse the powers that God has given them to be preserved in sanctification and honor. Health and life are sacrificed upon the altar of base passion. The higher, nobler powers are brought into subjection to the animal propensities. Those who thus sin are not acquainted with the result of their course." {TSB 110.4}

“Many professed Christians who passed before me seemed destitute of moral restraint. They were more animal than divine. In fact, they were about all animal. Men of this type degrade the wife whom they have promised to nourish and cherish. She is made an instrument to minister to the gratification of low, lustful propensities. And very many women submit to become slaves to lustful passion; they do not possess their bodies in sanctification and honor. The wife does not retain the dignity and self-respect which she possessed previous to marriage.” {TSB 111.3}

“This holy institution should have preserved and increased her womanly respect and holy dignity; but her chaste, dignified, godlike womanhood has been consumed upon the altar of base passion; it has been sacrificed to please her husband. She soon loses respect for the husband, who does not regard the laws to which the brute creation yield obedience. The married life becomes a galling yoke; for love dies out, and frequently distrust, jealousy, and hate take its place.”  {TSB 112.1}

Hence, couples are inviting evils into the bedroom as a result of this text being misconstrued like sodomy (anal sex) For some incoherent reason, these people believe that since they are engaging in anal sex with their heterosexual married spouse, that it is not considered sin.
Here is what Ellen White has been informed by the Lord concerning this matter:

“Church members need to fast and pray, striving earnestly to overcome by the blood of the Lamb and the word of their testimony. Not one particle of Sodomitish impurity will escape the wrath of God at the execution of the judgment. Those who do not repent of and forsake all uncleanness will fall with the wicked. Those who become members of the royal family and form God's kingdom in the earth made new, will be saints, not sinners. Isaiah 30:1-3, 8-16.  {TSB 119.3}”
Other sins that ensue due to the misinterpretation of the marriage bed being undefiled are pornography, group sex with other married couples and  S & M / BDSM / Bondage.

"By the word of God . . . the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished: but the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men." 2 Peter 3:5-7. Another storm is coming. The earth will again be swept by the desolating wrath of God, and sin and sinners will be destroyed.

The sins that called for vengeance upon the antediluvian world exist today. The fear of God is banished from the hearts of men, and His law is treated with indifference and contempt. The intense worldliness of that generation is equaled by that of the generation now living. Said Christ, "As in the days that were before the Flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ark, and knew not until the Flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be." Matthew 24:38, 39. God did not condemn the antediluvians for eating and drinking; He had given them the fruits of the earth in great abundance to supply their physical wants. Their sin consisted in taking these gifts without gratitude to the Giver, and debasing themselves by indulging appetite without restraint. It was lawful for them to marry. Marriage was in God's order; it was one of the first institutions which He established. He gave special directions concerning this ordinance, clothing it with sanctity and beauty; but these directions were forgotten, and marriage was perverted and made to minister to passion.
A similar condition of things exists now. That which is lawful in itself is carried to excess. Appetite is indulged without restraint. Professed followers of Christ are today eating and drinking with the drunken, while their names stand in honored church records. Intemperance benumbs the moral and spiritual powers and prepares the way for indulgence of the lower passions. Multitudes feel under no moral obligation to curb their sensual desires, and they become the slaves of lust. Men are living for the pleasures of sense; for this world and this life alone.”  Patriarchs and Prophets 101-102

The Sum of the Matter

"Wow, I didn’t know this. What can I do to stop?"

Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion,
walketh about, seeking whom he may devour 1 Peter 5:8

"Seek the Lord while He may be found, call ye upon Him while He is near: let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the Lord, and He will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for He will abundantly pardon" (Isa. 55:6, 7).

“That’s whack. It’s my body and I can do with it as I please. I’m free to choose. At least I’m not doing it with anyone else. It doesn’t count as a sin.”
Reread this entire article, prayerfully. If after revising it, you have questions, speak with the pastor. If you still disagree, then you’re going to hell my friend.

“I want to stop, but don’t know how.”
Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. James 4:7

Do not engage in anything that’s harmfully stimulating. Television, movies, upbeat music..
Go to bed early 9:00 pm.
Refrain from the use of sugar
Destroy the licentious magazines hidden in your home.
Avoid sexual conversation.
Stop looking at porn on the net...or anywhere else for that matter.
Drink plenty of water.

Masturbation is a lack of self control, and a form of demon possession. No, you may not be foaming at the mouth and trying to jump off a cliff, but this form of demon possession is the worst for, because it is so imperceptible and insidious. Just below the radar, that it seems okay because there is no outright dramatic display as we are used to reading of in the bible or hearing about on the news. Masturbation can not cease by prayer alone, because it is a form of demon possession.

Matthew 17:21
Howbeit this kind goeth not out but by prayer and fasting.
Matthew 17:20-22 (in Context) Matthew 17 (Whole Chapter)

Mark 9:29
And he said unto them, This kind can come forth by nothing, but by prayer and fasting.
Mark 9:28-30 (in Context) Mark 9 (Whole Chapter)

What is he possessing? Yes your body, but mainly your mind. He’s after your mind. The only part of you that can make rational decisions and choose to love and serve God. The mind that in turn reigns over the body.
This is why the list above is so important. It is a fast. A fast from the things that stimulate the impulse. As Freud would call it, the id. Christ calls it SELF. Refraining from the items listed above is an EXERCISE IN SELF CONROL, and is practice, exercise in controlling your self through Christ, so when Satan prompts you into evil, you would be able to resist steadfastly.

You can also engage yourself in other  PHYSICAL ACTVITIES.
Sports like hand ball (No pun intended) baseball, football or any other kind of ball not your own is a good way to blow off steam, get energized, expend energy and leave you so tired afterward, that you’ll be too tired to masturbate.

In all, remember to CLAIM God’s promise that: [ YOUR NAME HERE ] can do all things through Christ Who strengthens me. You are not alone, His grace is sufficient to help You.

How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?
Hebrews 9:14

Make you perfect in every good work to do his will, working in you that which is wellpleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ; to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen. Hebrews 13:21

A Mixtape Monday Special Feature

What are the best ways to get your mixtape out?
Does quality really matter? Well it all depends. Some low budget recordings come out sounding great while others are a colossal miss. When working on a mixtape it's always best to work on it yourself, because no one truly has your same exact vision, and vested interest in your work. Engineers will get lazy, makeup excuses, and producers will go missing for months on end after you've spent your hard earned money. Others will hold your files hostage because you chose to go with someone else and still others will mess up your whole release date because they do not see your project as a priority.
Maybe you're thinking I am speaking from experience, and yes I am. Time has instructed me in who I should deal with and who not to deal with, and my best advice is to gain a cursory knowledge in music production & audio engineering, because at the end of the day whether it was produced in Cubaase, Protools or Ableton, it doesn't really matter, because even Garage Band has been used to create hits...It's not about the schooling or the degrees or even the certification. It's all about the person implementing the knowledge they have and using their time to self advance.
Education continually shows us how much we don't know, so if we approach acquiring knowledge and gaining skillsets with this humble perspective we will see that there will always be someone who knows more than you...but do they have your creativity? Drive? Work ethic? Talent?
What makes you unique?
If you're willing to invest in yourself, others will also. And take a look at some documentaries of famous recording studios and artists. Many of them are big because they dreamt big and believed in themselves and invested in themselves.

Hearing No is usually associated with something negative. However think of the times when No is a welcomed sound. As in your STD results. Or if you call the hospital looking for someone who you were expecting but hadn't shown up yet. Or if you ask your trusted friend if they believe your special friend is a cheater. NO!!!! The joyful sound! Telling the devil NO has powerful implications. God says if you resist the devil he will flee from you. Now someone please tell me how resisting occurs outside of a NO?

As a Seventh day Adventist, I'm used to strange looks and side glances.
As someone with Jamaican parents I especially get the two headed look
when Jamaican Adventists discover I don't eat oxtails.

"It's your heritage!"
This ignorance blows my mind.
I suppose if killing every other short person on the 17th day of each month were
cultural, then it would be unacceptable if I chose to not include my self in the massacre.
Follow me? Oxtails fall under the category of the fifth part, which is unclean for human consumption.
Leviticus 11 Also Deuteronomy.

God said don't. Men say go ahead if it feel good. And go ahead even if it doesn't feel good, at least it's not the end of the world.
So you're implying that something terrible WILL happens at the end of the world  due to indulgence in this.... SO why am I adding more heat to my tab?

God knew what He meant when He said don't eat this or that.
Look it up. He permitted the eating of CLEAN meats after the flood...because there was not enough vegetation on the earth. Adam and Eve ate a vegan - based diet, sin came in and messed that whole plan up, so we were permitted to eat clean meats...animals which God knew by design would be fit for human consumption, the body temple.

So for you meat eaters out there....please cook your CLEAN MEATS well.
And pork, even if it's cooked well, contains the parasite.
A former science teacher I had said he has  actually seen this happen with cooked pork submerged in water and vinegar......WHICH by the way should tell us something.....
Vinegar is an awesome cleanser.
Sometimes we eat parasites even from vegetables and fruits. So to get those lil
buggards, we need to cleanse. Water with vinegar, onions, leeks, garlic....oh they can't stand garlic and the Worm wood complex.

One last reminder... Remember Daniel and Shadrach and Abadnegro?
Well, they refuse the king's meal plan of meats, wines and cheeses, and at the end of the test emerged the fittest and healthiest out of the bunch.

S.O.W. & Thumpin' Thursday

This week's  Song of the Week:

Thumpin' Thursday:   Waiting

Morning Moment: Consideration

Today was an out of control day, I literally had about 4 hours of sleep and half hour naps here and there, planning for an even that never occurred. It made me realize that just because you may have consideration for other people and what they are doing doesn't mean that they would necessarily reciprocate.

In all of this being patient and asking God for understanding is key because there are plenty of times when He gave us consideration and we didn't reciprocate.

Seduction vs Celibacy

Yes, you CAN spend time with him/her and not end up in a hot mess.

The first thing to realize in a relationship is the need for and to establish boundaries. Boundaries do not have to be seen  as something bad as if you’re a child placed in a playpen. Even though unpleasant at times for the child, the play pen will keep the child safe while the parent completes important tasks in the house that otherwise would harm them. Like cooking for instance. Hot oil or water may splash out and hurt the child. The play pen is needed to keep the child safe from harm. This minor unpleasantness, and small restriction is a small price to pay for the ultimate safety and well being of the child.
Boundaries keep us safe. Another good example of this are the marking that can be found on the road. A double yellow line means one thing, while the single line means another.
These lines of demarcation represent an order that has been instituted to keep us safe. It’s a general guideline for road and traffic safety and regulation. These boundaries give us freedom to drive in a safe environment (Clearly this is the case when all are following the rules)
The same applies in a relationship. Both parties involved need to establish guidelines for happiness in the Lord. Let’s take a look at the topic of premarital sex. If one is interested in sexual intimacy and the other isn’t, then it’s important for the interested party to first and foremost understand that this type of behavior is forbidden by God. Any Christian Seventh Day Adventist who truly believes in and loves the Lord, knowing him in a personal relationship would cringe at the thought of hurting the Lord , disobeying His word, and making their other feel pressured, conned, deceived or otherwise bringing the other person into a  premarital union that would disgrace the Name they bear.
“But can’t we practice safe sex? And not let anyone know?”  No sex outside of God’s will is ever truly safe. There’s more to sex than just physical consequences. Here are spiritual and moral ramifications. The enemy is after our souls and knows he can destroy us by controlling our minds. Sex out side of marriage weakens morale and destroys mental integrity/ It weakens the bond between man and God, and replaces it with selfish desires.

“We’re engaged and about to get married anyway. We mutually don’t see anyone else in our future. What’s the big deal anyway?”
God knows and that’s all that  should really matter to anyone anyway. Furthermore, refraining from sin just  because we’re afraid of going to hell is serving God out of fear rather than love. You’ll be hell bound. So make up your minds if you will be hot or cold for the Lord. Because God rejects lukewarm people.
True love is manifest in god. We can only know how to love when we bask in the presence of His Son. The Bible says that no man can come to the Father except through the Son.
We cannot display love unless we have been in closest communion with Christ, our Savior and Lord.
By beholding we are changed.
By being in His constant company, we will be influenced into a righteous character. This character would be seen by others and serve as a witness, an example as to one’s moral fortitude. When each one involved in a romantic pair embody the likeness of Christ, then the two would not only be uninterested in sinful indulgences, they would be as a spiritual beacon, a light, if you will, to other couples around them.
"What are some things that I /we can do to refrain from sexual indiscretions?"(ie: Premarital Sex, Pornography, Masturbation, Lust, Lasciviousness)
1. First and foremost, there needs to be a desire to do what’s right. To hate wrong doing and love the Lord.
2. Submit your minds and bodies unto the Lord. Realizing you don’t  belong to yourselves.
You belong to God.  "Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you." James 4:7
3.  Pray with this in mind. Prayer can help in that the Holy Spirit will subdue the unholy passion. The God of Heaven will dispatch angels to beat back the enemy, change your frame of mind and keep you on the right paths.
4. Keep yourself busy because the devil finds work for idle hands.
5. Don’t go out of your way to put yourself in situations to be tempted. Ie: Being alone in secluded places.
6. Be vocal about your stance to your partner.
7. Self Help Books.
Studying the Bible and Quarterly Lesson are great But having extra ammunition like the morning watch, devotionals and other self help books and guides is even better. Go to your local library.  Yahoo or Google keywords of interest to you. Check out sites like Amazon or Barnes and Noble. Since you’re here, you can also check out our
I pray that these words would be a beacon of spiritual light to you and encourage and uplift you as you contemplate these issues.  Quality time doesn’t compromise Christ in any way. Rather, it elevates Him, enobles our hearts and affections to Him, and draws us closer to our

Sweet 'N' Single

Turn't up Tuesday presents Sweet 'N' Single

Being single doesn’t have to mean that something is wrong with you or that you are some strange spectacle. Many opt for the single lifestyle for a variety of reasons.
Some may include:

-Not interested
Ie: Have been hurt in the past and would prefer not to be bothered with the whole thing.
(I've heard of one such brother who chose this route and people in the congregation labelled him as gay.)
-Too busy
Overburdened with responsibility such as work, school, church etc.
     Waiting on God
-Not ready
  Too young to date
-Don’t see anyone worth their time Or feel opposite gender is immature
-Know themselves and don’t want to be in a compromising situation.
-Are enjoying being alone too much and feel a relationship will tie them down, hamper them. This is especially true if they are quite successful, educationally, financially, socially, etc.
Taking care of a sick family member
A pressing personal issue or issues
Concerned about gold digging, so they’d rather be left alone.
Have a high standard that no one they’ve seen have.

Embrace Your Singleness
Accepting your unique situation is the first step to becoming appreciative of being a single SDA. Don’t let other people pressure you into forming unions with anyone, period.
It’s a common belief in especially in the church that once a woman reaches 30 and hasn’t been married yet, that the chances of them marrying later are practically nonexistent. No one will want to marry an old woman. Or she may have something inherently wrong with her that has kept her from being in a relationship for so long.
This is foolishness. Women being 30 and single is a blessing and not a curse.
Many, (not all) couples that marry pre-30 are prone to have serious issues in the relationship.
Ie: Having children too early
Marrying just because they want ‘holy sex’
Marrying anyone and settling due to pressure from meddlers.
One or both not being mature enough to handle a relationship, let alone marriage.
One or both having not completed a formal education, thus leaving them unable to adequately facilitate the financial aspect of a relationship.
So if you’re 30 and unattached, whether male or female, seek Christ first and everything will fall into place.
“But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.” Matthew 6:33

Being single doesn’t have to be a sour experience. Here are some suggestions on making your single life the sweetest experience ever.

Learn to Ignore Foolishness

Other people can flaunt their accomplishments in your face. Ie: “I got married before you” Don’t become jealous. Ignore these attempts to get you upset. Keep stepping and living righteously. You may learn tha your ex just hooked up with your best friend, church members may constantly try to pair you up with some ‘nice gyal’ or some docta’ need to be respectfully put in their place. Responses like “God’s time is my time” “They that wait upon the Lord, will renew their strength”, or “what God has for me. It is for me” or a “thanks, but no thanks”  or no response in special cases are adequate ways of curtailing busy bodies.

Keep Productive
Singles are a viable force in the church. Simply put, they can go places where married people cant. They don’t have all the obligations of family to think about. Stay active in the church and stay focused on Christ and his imminent return.

Don’t Be Desperate. Keep your standards high.
Never settle. It’s better to be alone than unhappy. Compromising your beliefs by wearing super provacative clothing to church and associating with people who don't have your same standards is foolish and desperate.
“Therefore, as God's chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience.”- Colossians 3:12

Laughing at every joke someone makes is also very unattractive. Constantly calling them or watching them incessantly at church from any distance is stalking. It's creepy, unattractive and uncool. This includes stalking their Myspace, adding all their friends as your friends, Facebooking them to death, emailing them nonsense, and texting them idle conversation.
They moved on. Life goes on, and so should you.
{} A meek and loving spirit never goes out of style. Pray for the Spirit of discernment that you will be able to distinguish people's motives. You'll be able to form better friendships and be able to spot a wolf in sheep's clothing a mile away.
{} Liven up yourself.
The Bible says when we are fasting, we musn't have long, tired faces, lest in so doing, we let anyone know that we are fasting.Instead, we should wash our faces, so no on eknows, only God.And He will reward us openly for that whch we have done in secret.
The same applies to the single life. Don't complain to anyone about your being single or unmarried. Or if you are, stop. Stop looking depressed, desperate and thirsty. Quench yourself with the Living Waters. Wash your face. Tidy up. Comb your hair. Shave! talk to the Lord about everything.
Abide in Him, and He will bless you abundantly.

I also want to thank all of you for sharing, reposting and commenting on last week's Turn't Up Tuesday special feature: From Porn to the Pulpit.

Minister Danielle Williams is a special woman with a special message for everyone. There are those who are in the church who want to live the lifestyle she came out of, and those that secretly are. Please read and be encouraged by her testimony, and listen to her exhalation of the Most High as she relays how he brought her out of a miry lifestyle into one full of happiness, peace and joy.

 A Morning Moment

The closest some people will get to a church is contact with you. True evangelism is a life lived so that others can't help but see the glow of Christ on you. You will be hated for it. You may be despised, made fun of, rejected and backstabbed by professed Christians, but no matter what, pray that you never lose the glow by losing sight of what God has appointed you to do.

Morning Moment

Not exactly a Morning Moment, but a moment just the same:
Imagine a life where the you that you know now meets the you that you used to be.
Has anything changed? For the better for the worse?
Put the same 2 you's in a ring. Who would make it out?
What are the implications of this outcome?
What does this say about the difference time and experience has on you?..your influence on others?

Just food for thought.

Morning Moment: REJECTS

Morning Moment: REJECTS

This is a repost from Rodney A. Brown Senior:

John 15:19 "The world would love you as one of its own if you belonged to it, but you are no longer part of the world. I chose you to come out of the world, so it hates you."

Never forget that the devil only attacks a threat. So be prepared for the assault with the sword of Truth...the daily Word of God.

Sabbath Special

So this was Youth Day at my new church and it was rockin'!
first of all I was blessed to be a apart of an amazing praise team. I finally got the alto part for total praise down pat yesterday evening just in time.
I made some new friends, really cool people... just keep the tenors  away from the strawberries LOL

We were blessed with a performance during divine hour and I am praying she will grace the Glorious Gospel According to Her mixtape with her ministry. I speak of none other than Nicky B, singer, and songwriter. She did two original songs today, and had us rolling at lunch time.

Gazzy came through for AY it was AMAZING. I mean I was so rapt I didn't even get a chance to record the whole event. He spoke about faith, and how it comes by hearing. Tidbit I didn't know until today....when one dies the last mechanism to go is your hearing. You can't hear...but its mechanism is the last to go. likewise when we lose faith, the FIRST THING TO GO IS OUR HEARING. Because we become partakers with Christ by first hearing and then by becoming doers of the word. If we are cold or lukewarm then that mans something is wrong with our hearing. Oh I wish there were two of me to partake in the wonderful ministry Gaz has got going on. Pray for him and the ministry!
What was cool was that he told me I need to get Minister Danielle Williams, the blessed woman of God that came out of the darkness of pornography and into the light of Jesus Christ out here to speak. Which is also great because it means that the blog is being shared which is awesome. I made the Minister Danielle Williams post on Tuesday, and already it is my most popular post to date. On the front of the site, you'll see the popular posts listed by rank. I pray you all read it and become transformed and share it.

I also got a chance to hear a new song by Singer/Songwriter & leader of Evidence of Grace,  James Thomas. What an awesome guy! Here we had been with 47 mutual friends, and only linked up today...WATCH OUT WORLD!

P.S. We will be mutual Twitter stalkers :-)
